100 Holes Golfed at Preakness Hills for Breast Cancer Research

More than $2,500 raised for the Breast Cancer Foundation.

Despite high temperatures, the golf professionals of Preakness Hills Country Club set out on a golf marathon Monday to raise money for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

The club sponsored a "Play for P.I.N.K." event in which head golf professional John Mascari and assistant golf professionals Charlie Hummers and A.J. Bispo golfed 100 holes in 11 hours. While the golfers played, and leading up to the event, club members and relatives made donation pledges by the hole and raised more than $2,500.

The club will also host its annual "Play for P.I.N.K." golf and tennis tournament on Aug. 6. More than $63,000 was raised during last year's event.
