Wayne School Could Win $35K in Cash, Prizes from Innovation Competition

The school needs online votes if it's going to win the Follet Corporation award.

An elementary school in Wayne is in the running to win some money and prizes from an organization that awards "the most innovative schools in the world."

AP Terhune entered the contest citing a project in which students created an "augmented reality." The following was submitted as a letter to the editor. Send yours in to jessica.mazzola@patch.com.

AP Terhune Elementary School in Wayne entered a contest with the Follet Corporation. Entries had to demonstrate how our school/district has aligned curriculum and approach in order to teach the skills needed and that are implementing a collaborative program with others in their school.

AP Terhune had to demonstrate how the program is preparing students for the demands of the 21st century.

We need everyone's help in order to win.  AP Terhune is the only school within Wayne that is competing.
