Second Man Arrested in Shooting Death of Isaac Rinas

Paterson man charged with murder in death of Wayne Valley graduate, NorthJersey.com reports.

A second man has been arrested in the shooting death of Isaac Rinas, 18, of Wayne, NorthJersey.com reports.

Bishma Cowan, 24, of Paterson was arrested Sunday afternoon and charged with murder and robbery in the Wayne Valley graduate's death. Paterson police declined to say whether they believe Cowan was the gunman who allegedly shot Rinas in the neck, NorthJersey.com reports.

Casey Cole, 18, of Wayne, a classmate of Rinas’, was charged Friday with felony murder, robbery, and conspiracy to commit robbery

Hours after graduating Wayne Valley, Cole and Rinas were in Rinas' Infiniti G37 in Paterson when a man entered the back seat of the vehicle at Fair and East 18th streets and brandished a handgun in an attempted robbery, police have said.

Rinas was shot in the neck at approximately 9 p.m. in the altercation in an area known for drug and gang activity, authorities have said.

Passaic Chief Assistant Prosecutor Michael DeMarco has said that Cole "is not the alleged shooter."

Cole is being held on $2 million cash bail. Information related to Cowan's bail and status was not immediately available Monday night.

A celebration of Rinas’ life will be held at Vander May Wayne Funeral Home on Tuesday at 10 a.m., an obituary on the funeral home’s website states.
