Attempted Murder Charge Filed Against Wayne Man
24-year-old arrested in connection with alleged shooting in Paterson.
A Wayne man was charged with attempted murder and possession of heroin in connection with the shooting of a 27-year-old man in Paterson, Vernon police said Tuesday. Brian Curry, 24, of Wayne, was arrested Friday after Vernon police conducted a joint attempted murder and narcotics investigation with the Paterson Police Department, police reported. A Paterson resident told authorities a vehicle pulled up next to him on the street Nov. 15 and an individual in the vehicle demanded the victim’s property, NorthJersey.com reported. The victim was shot in the arm while attempting to flee, the website reported. Vernon and Paterson police conducted a joint investigation into the incident, which led them to a Highland Lakes Home, Vernon police said. …
