No one was hurt in what authorities are calling an accidental fire on Indian Road Friday morning. Pat Lowe, the homeowner, said her daughter and her boyfriend were home when the fire started. They and a few pets got out of the house with no injuries. Lowe said a man saw the fire, knocked on the door, and yelled for the occupants to get out of the house. Fire Commissioner Steve Toth said the fire appeared to have started on the exterior of the house and migrated into the attic. “Everything right now points to this being an accidental fire,” Toth said. “There’s nothing suspicious at this point.” Toth said authorities were still investigating the cause of the blaze Friday afternoon. A minor fire broke out at 181 River Lawn Drive Wednesday night. Fire Commissioner Barry Turner said the fire was “put out rather quickly.” Turner said it appeared the fire started in the front porch of the single-family house. Some of the front of the house was black, particularly the outside of the front porch. Turner said the homeowner told firefighters that he was having electrical problems in the house before the fire started. The owner was not available for comment. Fire inspectors were scheduled to examine the house Wedneday night to determine what caused the fire. Turner said no one in the house was injured.
