Reality star has been busy marketing her new line of desserts.
Kathy Wakile almost didn’t return for season five of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.” Wakile, a Wayne resident, has been busy marketing her dessert line, Dolci della Dea, on QVC and other places. She appeared at a charity event for Superstorm Sandy victims last November. “It’s a startup business that I started on my own with my husband. That right there is a big, big step,” the reality star told wetpaint.com. “We went through a lot to get it off the ground.” Wakile said the dynamic of the show hasn’t really changed despite a new cast member or two being rumored to join up this season. Season 5 premieres at 8 p.m. June 2 on Bravo.

The Venetian in Garfield was the fashionable place to be Thursday night as Posh Boutique in Montville staged a dress and bikini fashion event hosted by "Real Housewives of NJ" stars Melissa Gorga and Kathy Wakile. The sold-out event included a number of vendors with an array of products from "Sparkle," custom-made shoes to hand-dipped berries. The evening included a dinner and opportunities to rub elbows with business owners, designers, entrepreneurs and reality TV celebrities. Hundreds of North Jersey shoppers got a jump on their Christmas shopping and raised money for charity at the same time. The nearly all-female crowd flooded The Brownstone in Paterson for Glitz, Glam and Gifts, The Sparkling Event’s annual holiday shopping event. Dozens of vendors showcased their best products. 'Housewife' quells Internet rumors, tells magazine that Wakile, a Wayne resident, will return next season.
Kathy Wakile will return for fourth season of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” according to cast mate Melissa Gorga. Gorga told “In Touch” magazine that Wakile will be back despite rumors to the contrary flying around the Internet last week, Examiner.com reported. In addition to those rumors, former ‘Housewife’ and Wayne resident Danielle Staub, a 50-year-old divorced mother of two, was rumored to be returning to the show. Staub has denied the rumor. Staub reportedly signed a contract to return to the show and will film “several episodes,” InTouchweeky.com reported recently. The website reportedly quoted a source close to the show who said that producers are bringing in Staub, who was a regular for the series’ first two seasons, …

Kathy Wakile, a Wayne resident and cast member of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” will participate in a video chat on celebstir.com. The chat will be held Thursday at 9 p.m.. Users will need a username and a password to participate in the chat. Wakile joined ‘Housewives’ in 2011. Since then, she, her husband Rich, and their two children, Victoria and Joseph. After five months, season four of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” ended Sunday night. The third and final part of the series’ reunion special aired. What a relief. The women continued to argue about their relationships with one another. The topic of who used to take her clothes off for money just wouldn’t die. Even the women’s husbands were dragged into the conversation when they were brought out. “What’s wrong with being a stripper?” Joe Gorga asked. The second part of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s” reunion aired Sunday with an anticlimactic showdown between Rosie Pierri and Teresa Giudice and an appearance from Joe Giudice. The reunion is the only time the wives were allowed to talk about the nature of being on the show, and it was a big topic of conversation during this segment. Host Andy Cohen zeroed in on the problem. “Something keeps coming up here, and it’s the idea of Melissa [Gorga] being on the show to hurt you," he said. Family is back to feuding after Melissa Gorga thinks her sister-in-law set her up.
In a suspenseful season finale, the "Real Housewives of New Jersey" concluded Sunday night with a blockbuster fight between Teresa Giudice and nearly all the other castmates. Last week, Angelo, a public relations manager at a hair salon, told Giudice that her sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga, was a stripper at a gentleman's club he owned in Elizabeth many years prior. Giudice said she did not want to hear about it and left the room, while friend and Posche clothing boutique owner Kim DePaola (Kim D.) pumped Angelo for more information. Jacqueline Laurita and her family hosted a tricky tray fundraiser for Autism Speaks. Laurita's son NIcholas was diagnosed with autism earlier this year.
Dozens of plastic-wrapped baskets were on the tables. Children's toys, healthcare products, salon and spa packages, even a cruise. Some people bid $10. Others bid $100. Hundreds of people attended Sparkle Speaks, a charity tricky tray at The Brownstone in Paterson Thursday. The event raised money for Autism Speaks, an international autism science and advocacy organization. Jacqueline Laurita from "The Real Housewives" of New Jersey" attended the fundraiser.
