I guess Wayne Valley had no release? Nice…was also inducted not much of a comment from AD orRead More Central?

Congrats to all three super coaches!

Rugby NJ the state based rugby organization tasked to grow high school and middle school rugby in NJRead More held a college recruitment night recently in Morristown. 65 parents and kids attended to hear Karen Fong Donahue from Ruggers Edge talk about college opportunities for high school rugby athletes. Both women's and men's college programs are reaching out to experienced and cross over high school athletes. Lots of the excitement stems from rugby being reintroduced as an Olympic sport in the 2016 Olympics. For more information contact morrisrugby.org or Rugby NJ

I can tell you that within the gay community, Mr. Sam was less than discreet, there is a video ofRead More him dancing in a club circulating - months before coming out. Maybe he simply decided to out himself, and on his terms, rather than be outed by the media. And even if it were a 'stunt," which I doubt, falling on your knees to pray and wearing biblical-quote-field-makeup as a gimmick didn't hurt Tebow to remain working, and he pretty much sucked on the field (and didn't we hear endless debate on anti-Christan bias yada yada yada around draft time and, then again, when he couldn't cut the mustard?)
Paul February 18, 2014 at 12:29 pm
Selene if you think that people are over the gay strait debate you are really uneducated. PeopleRead More aren't even over the racism debate let alone a persons sexuality. As having a person in my family that is gay I'd like for you to look them in the face and tell them that is accepted by most people. You may want to open a paper or watch the news. If it was "accepted" by most people than it would be legal for gays to get legally married in every state.

You got it. No prison orange...
Alice Jameson February 13, 2014 at 03:24 pm
My hatred of the color is a bit more deep-seated and complex. However, the prison connotation isRead More reason enough to avoid the wretched hue.

I thought these kids where from Wayne? How did our high schools do.... or should'nt I ask.
Jessica Mazzola (Editor) February 9, 2014 at 03:33 pm
Hey KrisTee -- Some are from Wayne, but we included all of the DePaul students in this post. WayneRead More public schools delayed their signing day ceremonies to this upcoming week due to midterms and snow days.
Annamarie Frezza February 9, 2014 at 08:34 pm
Jessica, thank you for posting a nice article about ALL of the future collegiate athletes currentlyRead More seniors at DePaul Catholic HS located in Wayne. The signing ceremony on Thursday, delayed a day due to snow, gave each athlete in attendance an equal opportunity to shine. I was able to send the link to this article to family & friends who could not attend. Thanks again!

Actually, it was the fault of the NFL that resulted in the long wait at the train station. ThereRead More were ridiculous rules and restrictions on parking.

paul smith February 5, 2014 at 05:22 pm
While the NFl has some culpability, and most of the rail tickets were bought on gameday, NJT blewRead More it. No buses until an hour after the game? Ridiculous. You have Lombardi and No Bergen park and rides where buses could have been stacked as a contingency. There was no contingency. Didnt NJT imagine some folks may leave early?
S_O_G February 2, 2014 at 06:11 pm
It is fine. My only complaint is that they took my double decker trains for the super bowl and IRead More had to be crowded all week in the regular cars. I think NJT runs great most of the time, and not sure where people think they can get a better deal then less than $10/day round trip ($250, probably 125 on pre tax dollars, and 22 work days in a month). Take a car service if you do not like it

Don't know where S_O_G pays his fare, but 1) the roundtrip fare to Manhattan from Summit is $19.50Read More per day; 2) the monthly cost is $273; and 3) Congress effective Jan. 1 lowered the monthly commuter tax benefit to $130 from $245 (while raising the parking benefit to $250 per month from $245).

I wish we would see the caliber of these commercials all year 'round instead of just one day a year.

Thanks for the comment, Mrs. Smith. The event you linked to and the one mentioned in this articleRead More are actually different. The above is sponsored by Hackensack Medical Center & Fitness and is scheduled for Sunday, while the "Winter Festival" mentioned in your article was being put on by town government and scheduled for Saturday, it seems. Thanks for the comment!

I'd like to see a good piece of journalism on the NFL and their money grubbing ways...here are a fewRead More examples: -Did you know the NFL is considered a Non-profit? Nice tax revenues they pay huh... -They have people volunteering for the Superbowl?? Do you know how much the NFL makes a year? -You can't say the term Superbowl without being a sponsor..and they go after Mom & Pop businesses for that. -What about the seat license scam? -They are using government resources to squash any chance of an unlicensed Superbowl Product getting near the stadium or NYC I try hard not to put more money in their pockets...you should too.

Just telling it like it is. All things associated with Wayne Hills Football from two years ago,Read More including the coaches and the kids, will forever put a stain on Wayne that will forever taint our community.
Taylor February 1, 2014 at 07:02 pm
Actually, it's clueless and conniving people like you that are tainting this community.

So young, so sad. Condolences to his family, friends and to the students , he sounds like a wellRead More loved man.

Glad to see the last comment was deleted. That person obviously did not know Goldy or what he did inRead More counseling the athletes. Wayne lost a truly good person.

This article is incorrect. The last I remembered, 128 TD's equaled 768 points, not 728 as it states.Read More Either way I wish Moreno and the rest of his team mates the best of luck with a Super Bowl win. NJ's own winning the biggest game ever, at home.
