Wayne Community Programs is a non-profit organization providing educational and recreational programs for the township. The Adult School offers classes in finance, art, music, dance, acting, computers, sports, health, world languages, yoga and more, including day trips and summer camps. Most classes cost from $60 to $200, depending on the books and materials required.
Safety Town teaches pre-school children the basics of safety. Extended day programs are offered for the children of working parents from 7:15 am to 6pm for students in classes from kindergarten through 5th grade. Drivers education classes are also offered. The administrative offices for the Adult School and community programs is in the old Preakness School at 1006 Hamburg Turnpike, adjacent to the Preakness branch of the public library.
