My husband and I ate there on a Sunday night. There were no more than 5 tables in the entire restaurant. The service was poor, at best. For example, I asked what caffiene free soda they had. The waiter did not know. He could have easliy walked over to the fountain and checked it out. The busboy attended us more than our waiter did. We waited a good 10 minutes for our check. Not only was the service poor, the food was terrible. We ordered "fresh mozzarella", tomato and basil for an appetizer along with buffalo calamari. Since when is "fresh mozzarella" in a perfect square like deli meat I don't know. They should really consider changing that on their menu- or at least taking out the "fresh". The calamari was fake (frozen), not fresh.
We both ordered pasta for our entrees. The pasta was mediocre. Maybe I have been spoiled with the pasta I am used to eating, but this pasta lacked flavor. I would not recommend this place to anyone I know. For a $50 meal there are plenty of other places I'd recommend in it's place. If you are not looking for Italian food, this may suit you, but if you are lookign for a good Italiam meal I'd recommend skipping Bensi.
