Turkey Trot, School Safety Upgrade Details and More This Week

Girl Scouts from Troop 103 purchased a new bench for dog park on Black Oak Ridge Road.

Here are a few things you may find on Wayne Patch this week and a few things going on in town.

  • A special turkey trot will be held at Theunis Dey Elementary School Monday at 9:30 a.m. The event will raise money and donations for Wayne families in need this holiday season.
  • A special presentation on a plan to fund and install several safety measures at each of the district’s 14 schools was given at a Board of Education meeting recently. We’ll tell you what officials said about the multi-million dollar plan and how they plan to fund it.
  • A group of Girl Scouts raised money and donated a park bench for the new Dog Park on Black Oak Ridge Road. The Scouts from Troop 103 completed the project as part of their Silver Award. We’ll let you know more about the project.
  • Two 11-year-old residents are starring in a production of “Les Miserable” at The Rhino Theater in Pompton Lakes. We’ll tell you more about the production and when it is playing.
