Board of Education will Meet, Exhibit will Showcase Local History and a Blood Drive will be Held This Week

Here is a sample of what you may find on Wayne Patch this week and a few things that are going on in town.

The Wayne Board of Education will meet on Thursday in the council chamber Thursday, Aug. 15 beginning at 7:30 p.m. We will attend that meeting. The meeting will be broadcast on cable channel 77.

Local history buffs may find a special exhibit of new artifacts on display at the Van Riper-Hopper House Museum interesting. The exhibit will be open on Friday from noon to 3 p.m. and Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. Part of the exhibit will commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Civil War and the Battle of Gettysburg.
