Local Musicians Showcase Their Talent in First Ever Music Mashup

Organizer Brian Jones said the event was a "huge success."

Several Wayne-based bands and musicians took to the stage Saturday to showcase their musical abilities in the first ever Music Mash Up at the .

The event was designed to give young local musicians a safe environment to showcase their musical talents. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the . 

"It was a tremendous success," said Brian Jones, . "These kids have so much talent, but there's no place around here to really show the world just how talented they are."

Among the performers of the night were Wayne residents Jessica Amill and Justin Plunkett, ," performed together; Mike Levine, Michael Herman, as well as the bands Scarlet Rush, Someday Soon, and Ideal Drive, all from Wayne. 

Jones said he hopes to organize more Mashups later on this year.
