michelle please review the bulk invective in response to the question of what these cost? Please direct me to any comments here that actually enumerate any bottom line dollars? Maybe I missed those?

You confuse transparency and intimate knowledge. Not everyone in the lake knows the exact costs. And none of these fine people owe you an explanation on anything! In an article about a charity race, you discuss VOAD and flooding, ALEC... If the packanack area floods, the people pick themselves up and move on with their lives. It is not their fault that you moved in with someone who lives in the flood area. That does not give you the right to attack, criticize and bemoan the efforts of people who put on a CHARITY event. As stated earlier, if you are so miserable, pick up and leave. You will not be missed.

The Lake water eventually drains to public resources....you're point? What about Pines Lake, Highland Lake, Indian Lake?? You hate Packanack for some reason. Too bad for you. You are not a Lake Member, we are a private organization and you have no right to specific information - go ask Pines Lake their costs for something or go outside Wayne - go ask Indian or Erskine Lake - see what they tell you. You are a bully, a negative man and a I feel sorry for you. Every other poster here is relatively on the same page - you want to stir the pot - why? Think about it - search yourself as to why you want to potentially cause controversy - there is a problem here. While I agree that out township is not always run prudently, I am willing to be part of the process as a volunteer and not just complain and point fingers. I am done posting here. WE do know the truth and the truth is it was a great day for runners, the supported charities and for Packanack Lake Members.

I'll figure it out for you, Mr. Curious. It takes about 40 minutes to run around the Lake. So figure 2 hours of police presence, to cover all the stragglers. Not sure exactly how many cops...estimate high at one per kilometer, so 5 officers. That's 10 man-hours total, guessing @ $100 per hour, so $1000 total... tops...for the cops. Satisified, loser?

Yes, Lt. Paul Dring is my brother. Yes I serve on the PLCA Board of Governors. Yes I am the President of the PLAA. I am also a member of PLCA group activities, Packanack Anglers, and Packanack BBQ club. I also volunteer as a coach at the Wayne PAL in various sports such as football, basketball.l, and baseball. In addition I coach a flag football team. I grew up in Wayne and because I love it so, I decided along with my wife to raise my family here. We all think it is pretty darn swell. I am truly sorry you were victimized a burgarly, those kind of things I would never wish on anyone. For all of my volunteer efforts, I receive and expect no payment. I do not receive any special treatment as the police that work our events expect payment. Nothing wrong or secretive about it. We get a invoice and we pay it. No conspiracy at all. I advised you to come out and enjoy the activities in Wayne, to which in your own right told me to mind my own business. That is fair and have no issue with it. Wishing you nothing but the best. Take care.
