ROB BUDDY? I didnt accuse Maryann Mirko (The Dudes Sister in law) of anything, Governor Christie began here: http://www.northjersey.com/news/state/governor/95205599_Non-profit_pay_capswill_have_little_effect.html The Record went there: http://www.northjersey.com/news/0217_State_orders_child_agency_to_return_679000.html and here: http://www.northjersey.com/news/022512_Passaic_County_non-profit_agency_paid_son_of_CEO_2_million_records_show.html And today the matter rests in the State Attorney Generals Office Division of Criminal Justice Corruption Section assigned as: # 20122840 Now this is all public information with Packnack Lake as the locale for some of these articles personalities?
Rob July 24, 2012 at 01:06 PM
You did accuse the woman who posted as Maryann of being Maryann Mirko. And what if Dring is related to the cop? Your wife/girlfriend is related to Mirko. Not everything in life is a cover up.
stewart resmer July 24, 2012 at 01:10 PM
No Rob, I asked Maryann if she were and she clarified, right so what if the Drings are realted to a sworn peace officer, exactly, the past articles name my relationship, there is no cover except the unwilliingness of the PLake or to discuss the financial arrangements that are subject to OPRA any way for the retention of township employees and resources, so yes? why the cover up by the PLake org here? I keep repeating it, whats the big deal?
stewart resmer July 24, 2012 at 01:12 PM
and besides why do all you people hide behind alter ego anon names to begin with, why your the cover up? why are you all so afraid to be identified by name?
stewart resmer July 24, 2012 at 01:14 PM
edit: and besides why do all you people hide behind alter ego anon names to begin with, why the cover up? why are you all so afraid to be identified by name?
Michelle July 24, 2012 at 01:33 PM
Stewart there is no fing coverup. No one is hiding anything. You were told numerous times the deal. If you would like specifics then call the PLCA office as Marybeth Dring requested. You are an ass and just looking to get under peoples skins. I'm not related to anyone but live a beautiful life in a beautiful neighborhood. Too bad your life sucks so you want everyone else's to suck too. I feel horrible for your wife/girlfriend. You must not be happy at home...a shame really. Poor you...can I bring you something to help? I'm nice like that...but all you want to hear is how we all stink....sorry...it's not me...it's you....
Rob July 24, 2012 at 01:35 PM
Asked/accused, its all semantics. File your OPRA report. Do you think it possible that every member, even someone on the Board of the PLAA might not know what it costs? How organizations work is that some items are handled by committees. And we post anonymously because we all belong to a secret society, who's goal is to drive people like you crazy.
B. Broadway July 24, 2012 at 01:45 PM
There is no cover - what don't you get? Mrs. Dring stated the bill from Wayne PD has not come in yet and Mr. Dring said you can contact Wayne PD for rates - file your OPRA, nothing to hind. As other costs related to the event are concerned, where private enterprise, sponsorships, PLAA costs and so on are concerned they are none of your business or for the public at large. Not becuase it is a secret but becuase the event is about charity, fun and those who enjoy to run/walk, not about the costs to put it on - focus on the positive. Would Wayne FOWA disclose what the costs were to put on one of their events to you on Patch? No, they would not. Next you will say that Dude or Nose was the second gunman on the grassy knoll in Dallas. What is wrong with you? This was a fun day that included a charity run that was held on both public streets and private property. Wayne PD was hired and for the safety of the runners. The entire 5K event was done in about 3 hours. Packanack Day is a private event for which its memeber pay for. If you belonged to a club, I would not ask you about what you pay and where the money goes. Participants were from all over and the primary beneficiary, UGP, supports organizations that support the community as a whole - I hope you never need he services from the likes of Wayne VOAD or Eva's Kitchen, but should you, know this run helped those that would be helping you. I have repeated most of what I said, you don't want to get it.
marybeth dring July 24, 2012 at 01:46 PM
Not even sure why I am doing this and I will probably regret it. But here goes. Both myselfd and my husband gave our real names as we have nothing to hide, which includes the fact that he is Lt. Dring's brother. As for the power plant link, it was founded 7 years before my husband was born which should prove he has nothing to do with it, although i am sure money from it would be nice. All it really proves is that there is more than one Jim Dring in the world.
Nose Wayne July 24, 2012 at 01:51 PM
ATTAGIRL MICHELLE!!!!! You read my mind. Rob, Don't waste your breath, babble, babble, babble, that's all he NOSE..DAN,Hope you have been listening to all this nonscense, can you shut him off like you do for posts ? Never in my life have I seen such negativity than him. People can't talk about what the real issues are without him rattling on. Thank you for listening to us all vent.
stewart resmer July 24, 2012 at 02:04 PM
Marybeth, please, the name of the power plant in England is a fascinating factoid, I hope you folks take the time to find out more about the Drings! Honest. So far as the LT is concerned, even if he is the traffic officer, and the org interacted with him in some way to secure officers, resources and street closures, whats the matter here? I have no problem with it at all? All I ever asked was how this event was staged, and paid for at what cost, who may or may not attend, I mean hoestly suppose some one wanted to put on a similar even at the Lake and wanted to understand what it entails? At this juncture judging form my experience here at Patch, you get no answers, you become a target for personal insults, and all this does is reinforce the notion that Wayne is not such the woderful place after all?
Nose Wayne July 24, 2012 at 02:10 PM
Broadway, THANK YOU!!! glad someone else here sees that he has some type of whatever it is. And NOSE,never been to Dallas ( lmao). Marybeth, I have NOSED your husbands brother for many years and is an outstanding person and police officer and you have nothing to regret about. Everyone that is in this tight knit group NOSE what Stewart is ,but I try to be nice and give true and accurate information. Maybe if everyone ignores him he will just go away ? Stay safe all, enjoy the day and keep posting.
Michelle July 24, 2012 at 02:12 PM
IF you don't like Wayne then why do you live here? Again, you were told what it entails. I myself told you numerous times. Permits paid by the organization, police hired and paid by the organization, all can attend, FREE to attend, vendors charge a small fee for food/games which goes to their club to host future activities and to donate to local charities and to upkeep the grounds (funds are reconciled and submitted to the PLCA on a regular basis). I was past treasurer of one organization so I know this as fact. Dues are paid by community members and a portion of our dues are allocated each year to help cover costs of fireworks (which are FREE to attend) and other incidentals...If I'm missing something let me know...but I don't see the secrecy here...the actual costs are at the PLCA office located at 52 Lake Drive West. Ask for the Club Manager and she see if she can assist you.
Rob July 24, 2012 at 02:15 PM
Then move out of your girlfriend/wife's house, get in your limo and drive to California by your other "home".
Nose Wayne July 24, 2012 at 02:18 PM
All those in favor of that say I, The I's have it. MOVE!!!!
B. Broadway July 24, 2012 at 02:21 PM
If you are truly interested in attending or putting on such an event, you woul call the people involved and you would find willing and able volunteers who enjoy particpating in their community. But that is not what you did...you were the first post on the Patch to an article that had pictures of smiling faces and kids races with retoric of "...I am curious who gets to use the site in a dues paying community and if any set asides are given? Even the BOE has been wrestling with user fees at schools and who pays or does not pay how much?". Packanack is a private association whose members pay for it use, the taxes and upkeep and we have one of the strongest populations of volunteers in Wayne....you questioned why so many Packanack people references....many volunteers and public servants are from Packanack becuase we care. You should try it - it gives great pleasure to give back and try to make things better than how you found them and bring people together. To go back to your original question many programs use the Packanack fields for a nominal fee - much less than the BOE would charge - I believe it is like $50...including DePaul, NFL Flag Football and Wayne Soccer....all of which facilitates programs for those outside Packanack. Wayne or any other location is what you make of it. You want it to be negative. I choose to see the positive and enjoy my home, my town and salute those the serve us such as Wayne PD, FD and the volunteers in the community!!
stewart resmer July 24, 2012 at 02:34 PM
michelle perhaps you would be so kind to reveal to us here at Patch whether or not your org that you are treasurer of, is a tax exempt one subject to public dislcosure of your finances reportable to the state and fed? And what your tax id # would be there?
Michelle July 24, 2012 at 02:38 PM
Oh I'm sorry...I forgot...If you want the fees paid call the Wayne PD for police rates, call the Town of Wayne for Permit fee rates, call a few firework companies and ask them their rates, call a few blow up activities companies ask them their rates, go to Costco/BJ's Wholesale and price out the costs of hot dog buns, hot dogs, burgers, plates, etc, call the T-shirt companies and find out how much it costs to purchase T-shirts (the more you purchase the less you pay BTW), call the trophy place for costs of metals....this is what the volunteers do during the year and then they see how much they have to spend and sometimes they make a profit but there have been years when the weather just didn't co-operate and they actually lost money but they never asked for it back because the treasurers in each club make sure they have a few $$ extra just in case...hope this helps...and let me know when and where I can expect your activity...I'd love to come and I'm sure Dan would right a nice article for you.....
Michelle July 24, 2012 at 02:42 PM
PLCA has that specific information. Call the club manager and I'm sure she will give you the information needed. I do not have that information here. I was treasurer many years ago...You need the number? You can google it...you're pretty good with googling that stuff....
stewart resmer July 24, 2012 at 02:43 PM
BB about VOAD, it is an org dedicated to give political cover for the historical failed policies of successive councils that have resulted in the unmitigated disaster the spectacle of the townships failure to protect it citizens revealed during the recent storms. Miz Ryans initiative as well intentioned as it may be gives me the impression that she feels the council is unable to to effectively govern in these regards. If council were not so hell bent on casting bad votes that result in law suits that cost the township millions then perhaps the fire department could be funded 100%. So far as my putting on an event with 'The Club'? Gee, no thanks.
stewart resmer July 24, 2012 at 02:55 PM
ah michelle! so the information IS available for public review after all then!
Rob July 24, 2012 at 02:55 PM
Nicely stated.
B. Broadway July 24, 2012 at 02:55 PM
Packanack is NOT tax expempt. We pay thousands and thousands of dollars in property tax. Does that make you feel better? Which is why we have no obligation to publically disclose anything to you. We do however run a transparent organziation with meetings and published financial information in our subscription "Packanews"...we hand a handful of employees and every other person involved in a volunteer including the Board of Governors and the people on PLAA - check out our website to find out more about Packanack: packanacklake.com since you are so interested.
Michelle July 24, 2012 at 02:59 PM
I never said it wasn't....you are so delusional...this information was given to you time and again. I'm so over you. Life is too short...have a blessed happy day...and take me up on the offer if you need help....I'll be the first one there for you....
stewart resmer July 24, 2012 at 03:01 PM
yes bb but not all taxpayers call them selves a club and lay claim to natural resources like the water in a lake do they? calling your org transparent belies the word when one stops to read what you can here when all one asks is what the event cost?
stewart resmer July 24, 2012 at 03:06 PM
michelle please review the bulk invective in response to the question of what these cost? Please direct me to any comments here that actually enumerate any bottom line dollars? Maybe I missed those?
Rob July 24, 2012 at 03:14 PM
You confuse transparency and intimate knowledge. Not everyone in the lake knows the exact costs. And none of these fine people owe you an explanation on anything! In an article about a charity race, you discuss VOAD and flooding, ALEC... If the packanack area floods, the people pick themselves up and move on with their lives. It is not their fault that you moved in with someone who lives in the flood area. That does not give you the right to attack, criticize and bemoan the efforts of people who put on a CHARITY event. As stated earlier, if you are so miserable, pick up and leave. You will not be missed.
B. Broadway July 24, 2012 at 03:15 PM
The Lake water eventually drains to public resources....you're point? What about Pines Lake, Highland Lake, Indian Lake?? You hate Packanack for some reason. Too bad for you. You are not a Lake Member, we are a private organization and you have no right to specific information - go ask Pines Lake their costs for something or go outside Wayne - go ask Indian or Erskine Lake - see what they tell you. You are a bully, a negative man and a I feel sorry for you. Every other poster here is relatively on the same page - you want to stir the pot - why? Think about it - search yourself as to why you want to potentially cause controversy - there is a problem here. While I agree that out township is not always run prudently, I am willing to be part of the process as a volunteer and not just complain and point fingers. I am done posting here. WE do know the truth and the truth is it was a great day for runners, the supported charities and for Packanack Lake Members.
the dude July 24, 2012 at 04:22 PM
I'll figure it out for you, Mr. Curious. It takes about 40 minutes to run around the Lake. So figure 2 hours of police presence, to cover all the stragglers. Not sure exactly how many cops...estimate high at one per kilometer, so 5 officers. That's 10 man-hours total, guessing @ $100 per hour, so $1000 total... tops...for the cops. Satisified, loser?
Jim Dring July 24, 2012 at 04:22 PM
Yes, Lt. Paul Dring is my brother. Yes I serve on the PLCA Board of Governors. Yes I am the President of the PLAA. I am also a member of PLCA group activities, Packanack Anglers, and Packanack BBQ club. I also volunteer as a coach at the Wayne PAL in various sports such as football, basketball.l, and baseball. In addition I coach a flag football team. I grew up in Wayne and because I love it so, I decided along with my wife to raise my family here. We all think it is pretty darn swell. I am truly sorry you were victimized a burgarly, those kind of things I would never wish on anyone. For all of my volunteer efforts, I receive and expect no payment. I do not receive any special treatment as the police that work our events expect payment. Nothing wrong or secretive about it. We get a invoice and we pay it. No conspiracy at all. I advised you to come out and enjoy the activities in Wayne, to which in your own right told me to mind my own business. That is fair and have no issue with it. Wishing you nothing but the best. Take care.
