Soccer Star Overcomes Injuries to Play in College

Zach Mulhaul, a former Wayne Hills student, has overcome back and knee injuries to play at Scranton University.

Zachary Mulhaul began playing soccer at The University of Scranton.

Mulhaul has a long athletic history in Wayne.

He started to play indoor soccer when he was 8 years old. He eventually played for the traveling soccer team, the Panthers and in the Wayne Soccer Club.

Mulhaul, an alumnus of , played in a national finals game for The Sports Factory Academy’s club team.

Mulahul will study sports therapy in college. Mulhaul interest in the subject was sparked due to back and knee injuries Mulahul suffered as a high school freshman.

Mulhaul also ran on Hills track team in the 400-meter race and 4-by-400-relay team.

“I know what it’s like to be knocked down, but I’m going into preseason with the wind at my back,” Mulhaul said. “I want to be successful.”
