Former Valley Players to be Inducted into Hall of Fame

Joe Kessel and Mark Doherty are members of the fifth class of alumni to be inducted.

The latest inductees to the Wayne Valley High School football Hall of Fame were announced recently.

Joe Kessel, Rolf Younqquist Bud Zuberer, and Mark Doherty will be inducted into the Hall of Fame Sept. 5, NorthJersey.com reported. It will be the fifth class of inductees.

Kessel played guard and linebacker from 1957 to 1959. Younqquist was a three-year quarterback in the mid 1960s. Zuberer was a multi-position player from 1983 to 1985. Doherty played linebacker and cornerback from 1988 to 1990.

The induction ceremony will be held Sept. 5 at The Brownstone in Pateson.
