Field Hockey Teams Sticking it to Cancer

Annual fundraiser will raise money for cancer research.

More high school sports teams are trying to raise money this month to beat cancer.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The Wayne Hills and Wayne Valley varsity and junior varsity field hockey teams will face off in Hills’ Stick it to Cancer fundraiser on Tuesday, Oct. 2.

T-shirts will be sold. Proceeds from the sales will go supporting cancer research.

The games will be played at Wayne Hills. The junior varsity game will start at 5:30 p.m., the varsity game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

In related news, the Wayne Hills High School girls’ soccer team will wear pink shoelaces during games this month and sell commemorative T-shirts and ear buds. Proceeds will be donated to non-profits.
