DePaul Student Named No. 1 Running Back in Country

ESPN and 247Sports.com have named this rising junior the best.

A DePaul Catholic football player from Wayne has been named the best running back in the nation by ESPN and 247Sports.com, nj.com reported.

According to the report, Kareem Walker was picked to the the top in his age group - the Class of 2016 - because of his physical running style, breakaway speed, and classic running back traits.

The rising junior at the school in Wayne is already being recruited by a number of colleges, including Rutgers, and is planning many college visits this summer, the report said.

Walker's eventual goal is to play in the NFL, the report said.
