14 DePaul Athletes Sign Letters of Intent

Colleges that can look forward to local athletes joining their squads include Villanova, Princeton, Georgetown and Rutgers.

Thirteen DePaul Catholic students signed letters of intent to play college sports at major colleges and universities Thursday, and one student has agreed to play for the Ivy League, the school announced on National Signing Day.

The following students announced their intents to play Thursday:

  • Zachary Bednarczyk of Wallington – Football at Villanova
  • Lou Carusillo of Pequannock – Wrestling at Gettysburg
  • Markey Clarke of Hewitt – Football at the University of Rhode Island
  • Matthew Greff of Lincoln Park – Football at Gettysburg
  • Khaliem Hester of Hillside – Football at University of Miami
  • Courtel Jenkins of East Orange – Football at University of Miami
  • Melissa Kelly of Parsippany – Soccer at Rowan
  • Michael Kelly of Parsippany – Football at Franklin & Marshall
  • Ashley LaGuardia of Wayne – Softball at Princeton
  • Luis Mendoza of Wayne – Soccer at Iona
  • Justin Nelson of Hillside – Football at Rutgers
  • Kaitlin Perry of Butler – Soccer at Mitchell
  • Troy Teresak of Pompton Plains – Soccer at Lock Haven
  • Joseph While of Clifton – Track and Field at Georgetown
