Wayne Students' Artwork Wins County Calendar Contest

The artwork of three township fourth-graders will be featured in the 18th annual Passaic County Clerk Calendar.

The artwork of three Wayne students will be part of the 2014 Passaic County Clerk’s calendar, according to a release from the office this week.

The three fourth graders – Joy Lee from the AP Terhune School, Connie Ni from the Pines Lakes School, and Fiona Helms of the Immaculate Heart of Mary School – submitted artwork to the 18th Annual Passaic County Clerk Poster Calendar Contest. They have been chosen to represent March, June, and August, respectively.

The contest is open to all county fourth grade students, and is meant to promote the county’s attractions, the release said.

The calendars will be distributed to schools, libraries, and other public buildings throughout the county.

“The creativity of these young artists is inspiring”, stated Kristin M. Corrado, Passaic County Clerk. “Many of the schools included this contest as part of their fourth grade curriculum and that is a tribute to the principals, teachers and students of the participating schools.”
