“There’s just something about the music, I’m not really sure what it is,” Dinh said. “I’m able to work with it easily.”

It is the second music video Dinh has created that’s been featured on the show. The video was filmed and produced last year.

“Bringin’ You In” is a song by the band Fish For Bears. Dinh’s friend is in the band. Their musical style features acoustic guitars, something that Dinh said appeals to him and helps him determine the images that he wants to use to create the video.

Dinh’s creative juices started to flow after he began watching music videos on YouTube and television.

“It helps out a lot,” Dinh said. “I study the camera angles and figure out what kind of shots I want to use in my videos.”

Dinh usually listens to a song and tries to determine what the point of the song is. What message is it trying to communicate? That’s the question Dinh wants to, and has to, answer for himself in order to create a music video.

Dinh said the videos that he creates are strictly his interpretation of the song that’s being performed, but that’s not to say that whoever is watching it can’t interpret the video, and the song, any way he or she wants to.

“It’s my message, I’m showing people how I interpret it,” Dinh said. “The viewer can interpret it anyway he or she wants to, but I just create the images that I see.”

The episode will be broadcast on MSG Varsity June 9 at 12:30 p.m. on MSG Varsity on-demand anytime on channel 614, and on online.
