State is Working with Students Affected by School's Closing

The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development is working to assistant students who were enrolled at the CDM Technical Institute in Wayne.

The privately-owned and operated vocational school, which has nine locations throughout New Jersey, abruptly shut down its Wayne location last week without explanation.  The Wayne campus was its main location.

The Better Business Bureau of New Jersey (BBB) has received 11 written complaints, phone calls, and e-mails about the school’s closing. The BBB has contacted the state’s Department of Labor and Workforce Development (LWD) about the school’s closing. The BBB has updated its information about the school on its website. It is not accredited by the BBB.

The LWD is gathering information from students affected by the school’s closing. Enrolled students were mailed a letter last week regarding the LWD’s efforts. Affected students have until Feb. 15 to submit information to the LWD regarding their enrollment at the school. Click here for more information.
