School District's Web Site To Get A Face Lift

First phase of redesign scheduled to begin soon. Site will help officials share information with residents in a "timely" way.

The first phase of redesigning the Web site is scheduled to begin early this month.

The redesign is the latest is a series of upgrades and improvements to the district’s digital footprint.

The redesigned site will feature improved navigation and a district-wide calendar of events.

Users will also have the ability to translate the site into eight languages.

Officials are expected to add more information about the district’s curriculum, activities, and organization.

Improving communications with “all members of the Wayne school district” district officials set for the upcoming school year.

Officials want to “share important information about the school district” in a timely, meaningful, and responsive way.”

The district launched a new Facebook page, Twitter and Google+ accounts, and a YouTube channel earlier this year.

All Board of Education-related communications will also be posted on the site.

Why do we need a PR FIRM ? Do they have people on staff that speak eight languages? DUMP THE FIRM!! Everyone is on the WEB!!

Translating the site into 8 languages? Why???? Last time I checked English was the official language of the United States. Isn't Wayne located in the United States?? Regardless, translating info from one language to another is easily done with most apps. We don't need to spend a fortune to do this. As an example, Facebook will automatically translate to various languages (as it is an International site) with a simple checkmark.

Justice, ENGLISH is the official language.But you go around town you think your in another country by the language you hear all the time.

The BOE needs a facelift better yet why don't we start with all new faces on the Board. What a good idea come election time. Lets call it elective surgery.

Better and cheaper here. The dollars stolen are smaller here which keeps the taxes down. Illinois is on it's way to catch up with California as the leader in taxes.
