Online School Registration Begins Feb. 3

Parents can begin registering their children for kindergarten for the 2014-15 school year online Feb. 3, the district announced Monday.

It is the second consecutive year that the district will register incoming students primarily online.

“The success of our online registration last year has shown that the experience is extremely convenient for families and very efficient for the district,” Superintendent Ray Gonzalez said in a statement. “It’s a streamlined process that makes life easier for everyone.”

Families need to visit the district’s website Feb. 3 to complete the registration form and provide the required health information.

Children who will be 5 years old on or before Oct. 15 are eligible to enter kindergarten.

Families who do not have access to the Internet should contact their neighborhood school for assistance, officials said.
