Flamingos Flock to Lawns for Band Fundraiser

A lot of flamingos have been landing in residents’ front lawns recently.

The Wayne Hills High School band is placing the plastic birds on laws as part of its Flocking Wayne fundraiser.

Residents can pay a fee and have flamingos placed on their neighbor’s lawns. Residents can also pay a to get “flocking insurance.” For $25, homeowners can guarantee the maroon, white, and black flamingos will not be placed on their property.

Flamingos will be placed on lawns for two days. Flocking one’s lawn costs $15 for a band member, $20 for a non-band member.
