DePaul Students to Sleep in Cardboard Boxes, Experience Homelessness

The students in Wayne will be logging their experiences using social media.

The following was submitted to Patch by DePaul Catholic High School.

After having attended a conference where a speaker inspired them to action, the DePaul Catholic Honors Christology classes will be experiencing a night of homelessness to raise awareness and money this Friday.

The students will be sleeping in cardboard boxes on the football field at DePaul Catholic High School, rain or shine. There has been an immense amount of excitement among the students for this cause.

The students are trying to show the world how many people, maybe even in our own backyards, are without a home. All donations made from this experience will be going towards Midnight Run.org and Covenant House, organizations that help homeless adults and teens to eat and have a safe place to go.
