DePaul High School Student to Rutgers

Davon Jacobs will play for the Scarlet Knights in 2012.

A DePaul Catholic High School senior has decided to attend Rutgers University in the autumn of 2012 after he graduates from high school.

According to published reports, Davon Jacobs, a 6-foot-1 190 pound resident of Paterson, who plays defensive back and running back for the DePaul Spartans, had been entertaining offers from a variety colleges and universities.

Jacobs is quoted as saying he enjoyed meeting Rutgers University football coach Coach Jeff Hafley.

“He is the best of any college coach I deal with. I feel very comfortable with him and with all of the Rutgers coaches,” said Jacobs. “I feel very comfortable at Rutgers.”
