Local rock bands will perform on stage during a special Rock for Soldiers concert on Monday.

A special concert at the Wayne YMCA Monday, Feb. 18, will raise money for the Wounded Warrior Homefront, a nonprofit, and the Wayne Hills senior class.

More than a dozen bands will perform at the concert, including Scarlet Rush and Radio Silence.

Hakuna Matata Fundraising, a nonprofit founded by David Boronow and Alyssa Scheiner, seniors at Wayne Hills, are organizing the eight-hour long event.

Boronow said he hopes to raise more than $1,000.

Tickets cost $12.

The benefit runs basically all day long (1:00 PM - 8:00 PM or later). You can come and go as you please, once you purchase a ticket. Lots of really cool local bands and performers and a really wonderful cause ... please come on out!
