All School Board Meetings will be Televised

Meetings will be held in council chamber beginning June 9.

Beginning June 9, all meetings of the Wayne Board of Education will be held in the municipal and broadcast on channel 77. All the meetings will now be regular meetings and will begin at 7:30 p.m..

The school board's public work sessions have been held at the school district's administrative office at 50 Nellis Drive in a small conference room. They have not been broadcast on channel 77. The regular meetings, which are held in the council chamber, have aired on channel 77.

The board examined the possibility last year of recording the public work sessions and putting them online, but there were "logistical" issues that prevented the change from occurring, said board member Robert Ceberio.

Wayne Council President Joseph Schweighardt suggested the change at a regular board meeting earlier this year.
