14-Year Wayne Principal Plans August Retirement

Richard Erck is one of three district principals stepping down this year, report says.

Principals of three Wayne township schools will be retiring this year, including 14-year John F. Kennedy Elementary Principal Richard Erck.

According to a NorthJersey.com report, Erck will take some time off to travel during his retirement, but plans to remain involved in education through test administration and new principal mentoring programs, the report said.

Donna Shelchach, a previous Special Education supervisor and current JFK Assistant Principal, will take over when Erck officially retires on August 15, the report said.
