Day Shelter: Persons in need of a place to stay temporarily during the day are welcome to use the PAL Building, 1 PAL Drive.

Hot Meals: This evening, hot meals will again be served to flood-affected families at Preakness Reformed Church, 131 Church Lane, 6-8pm. Sit-down seating and take-out containers are both available. Ryerson Elementary School, 30 McClelland Avenue, will also be used as a central distribution point where families can pick up take-home containers. Last night, 350 meals were provided by Packanack Community Church with members of Preakness Reformed and many community volunteers offering assistance. Meals were also delivered directly to residents in their homes. Tonight, Corrado’s has generously offered to provide the food. Flyers with information about the meals was sent home with all Wayne students. Please spread the word. A hot meal schedule is being coordinated through at least Friday, September 16. Organizations are needed to provide cooked food next week. If you would like to help with this effort, please contact Glenn O’Connell at OconnellGS@aol.com or Lonni Miller-Ryan at LonniMiller@aol.com. Items needed: take-out containers with lids and aluminum foil.
