Manga & Anime artist and teacher Teresa DeFabrizio will present an informative lecture on manga, its history & growth in popularity, and tips on getting a YA club going.
Join us as for this special YA program!
Open to kids in grades 6-12.

WPL YA Chess Club (No School Dec 28th)
Friday 12/28/2012
1:00-3:30 PM

Young adults in grades 6-12 are welcome to play chess. You can learn or improve your skills.
This gathering will occur every other month.
(Also look for our Chess Tournament vs. Seasoned Players during alternate months.)
Registration begins in person or by phone on Wednesday, Dec. 19th.
Wayne residents get preference for sign-up availability.

A History of the Horror Film (for YAs)

Event Date: 1/3/2013
Event Time: 6:00 PM- 7:30

An audio visual assisted tour through the roots, classics, and careers that defined a genre. Due to the nature of horror films some clips include gore or violence.

*You must be at least 13 years old to attend this presentation. Up to seniors in high school.*

Registration begins Thursday December 20th in person or by phone.

Young Adult January Book Discussion: "Loser"

New Year's Resolution: Read more!

Young Adults grades 6-12 will discuss the book and ideas.

Please provide your own snacks and beverages.

Chess Tournament: Young Adults vs. Seasoned Players

Event Time: 6:30 PM-9:00

Test your chess skills and strategies against seasoned players who meet regularly. Or come in to watch and learn!

The Wayne Chess Club(a program of the Wayne Department

of Parks and Recreation)accepts the challenge from the young adults, here at the Wayne Public Library.

Open to young adults in grades 6-12. Wayne residents get preference for sign-up availability.

Registration for Jan 10, 2013 begins Friday Dec 28, 2012.

Y.A. Board Games - No School Today!
