(Wayne, NJ) – The Wayne Health Department urges residents to get their flu shot.  It is not too late to get vaccinated.  The health department is offering a seasonal flu vaccination clinic for anyone who is older than 6 months old on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 from 3 to 6 p.m.  The clinics will take place at the Wayne Health Department, 475 Valley Road, Wayne, NJ.  The flu vaccine is $15.  If you have Medicare Part B not enrolled in an HMO, the vaccine is free.  In addition, pneumonia shots will be provided.   The pneumonia shot is $25 or free to Medicare Part B participants receiving the vaccination for the first time with Medicare.  Medicare will only pay for ONE shot in a lifetime. Medical Part B participants must bring their card to receive the vaccine free of charge.  Please visit www.waynetownship.com to make an appointment.  If you do not have access to the internet, call (973) 694-1800 x3281.  Appointments preferred but walk-ins are welcome.
