Wayne Girl Scout Hurricane Relief Program

Hi Everyone,  Please read Allison's e-mail below. The Girl Scouts would like to help!

The Girl Scouts of Wayne are collecting much needed items for those in South Jersey that were so horribly affected by the recent storms. While I know that we suffered at home with the cold and power outages (and some are still pending power), as you have probably seen from the news coverage, these people have lost everything.

The Girl Scouts would like to help. We are therefore asking for donations of items per the most recent list. If you are able to help, please add any of the following to your shopping list. At this time we are NOT accepting clothing other than the specific items listed below.

baby food (jars, formula, cereal etc)

school supplies (pens, pencils, notebooks, paper etc)

diapers

blankets

flashlights and batteries

new socks in the package (adults and children)

new underwear in the package (adults and children)

new hats and gloves

healthy snacks (non perishable)

canned vegetables

toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap etc)

peanut butter and jelly

All items can be delivered to 167 Webster Drive.

Note that if we should be lucky enough to collect more than the hurricane victims are able to accept at this time, we will look for local places to donate any extra items to.
