Critical January Blood Shortage Spearheads Wayne Interfaith Blood Drives . 1/20 & 2/3
Blood Donations Needed!
Due to a severe. chronic bi-annual blood shortage, the Wayne Interfaith Blood Drive asks each of you to open your heart, roll up your sleeve and donate blood this January or February.
Did you know New Jersey has the astounding distinction of having the lowest percentage of blood donors nationwide? The national state donor average is 5.8%, yet New Jersey at 3.6% and drops to 3.2% in August and January each year. Imagine you or a loved one needing a blood transfusion, and hearing supplies were short with only a few pints in reserve.
August 2012 the Wayne Interfaith Blood Drive was a huge success - resulting in 105 registrants and 85 screened donors. We did together what could not be done alone! Please join us and say 'yes' to making a blood donation during this next critical time of need.
