Boy and Girl Scouts Needed for Veterans Recognition Event Nov. 5.

Hi Ruby,

I know the notice is short and I’m not sure if you even have your power back yet but could you get this out there.

Maria is looking for as many Boy & Girl Scouts as she can get for this coming Saturday.

If you are interested in participating, please respond to me at missa24@verizon.net. Please provide your troop number and scouts ages. Also, the scouts will signing the song at the following You Tube Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2b-RfvJMAk&feature=related. I’ll have the words on index cards for them.

The actual ceremony will be over by 11 a.m.but all are invited to stay for the events of the day.

In partnership with Passaic County, I am hosting a Veterans Recognition Event at the Dey Mansion, Washington's Headquarters in Wayne.

I am looking for school children (boys scouts) to salute the veterans (wave an american flag and sing a patriotic song) as they enter the property on event day.

The event is on November 5, 2011 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Opening Ceremony is at 10:00 AM

The Veterans Recognition Event Agenda Includes:

• Food, Entertainment and Key Note Speaker under a tent in the back of the Dey Mansion
• A movie screening of 'In The Shadow Of The Blade' in the Plantation House
• A Book Signing by Author & Vietnam War Hero John Flanagan, 'Born In Brooklyn Raised In The CAV' will take place in the Great Hall of the mansion
• Interviews for the 'Veterans History Project' will be conducted in the conference room. The room used in 1780 by George Washington to write orders to Congress
• Tours of Historical 'Dey Mansion, Washington's Headquarters'
• Static Displays of military vehicles and a
• UH-1 Huey Demonstration (approval pending)
