Communication is key to a happy marriage, to a stable family, keeping friends, having a social life, on and on. Its through communication that a Community can learn from each other and its through communication that we can Strive To Be A Better District because we'll know what page we are on if we all talk to each other.
Communication has been important in my business, in Wifey's business, in our relationship with our kids, with our teachers, and with everyone around us. What motivates me to be a Board member is tackling the big issues at hand for the kids! I've always been a troubleshooter, a researcher that tries to understand the issues and resolve them through open discussion and understanding and, most importantly, patience.

Other attributes to consider is to listen, to be able to compromise and to achieve the Goal. Many times people just want to be heard. They want to know that their concerns mean something to us. Conversation, discussion, listening, these are the attributes that allow for a meaningful dialogue, thoughtful discourse, and successful implementation.
The experiences I bring to the Board are extensive: I've worked directly with children for over a decade, from computers to photography, Kindergarten to college-aged counselors. Many of the issues raised are the same in sports as they are in education: how can I get my child to succeed? What can I do to help? Should I buy a camera?

Whether its sports or education, we want our children to strive! That is based on my experience on the field and in a classroom environment and in talking day to day with parents and children. I work very hard to make sure my kids succeed, and I will work very hard on the Board of Education to make sure your kids succeed.
