Packanack Lake, James Fallon Students Help Stomp Out Drugs

Wayne Alliance volunteer: Genevieve Boulos spearheads Wayne Alliance fundraising effort to "Stomp Out Drugs". Packanack Lake Elementary and James Fallon Elementary Schools participated.

Congratulations to Packanack Lake Elementary and James Fallon Elementary Schools for their participation and achievement in successfully promoting the STOMP OUT DRUGS SHOE DRIVE!!

In partnership with Soles4Souls and the Wayne Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse, these two schools collected used shoes for underprivileged children in the USA and around the world. These shoes will be donated to Soles4Souls to be distributed to underprivileged children in the US and around the world, which can help eliminate the spreading of disease through the foot.

These shoes can also help children obtain an education - as many schools have footwear requirements for attendance. Approximately 500 pairs of shoes were collected for this admirable cause.

Monetary donations were also collected to help fund substance abuse educational programs in our local schools.  Approximately $250 in donations was raised for the Wayne Alliance.

Again, join us in congratulating both Packanack Lake Elementary and James Fallon Elementary schools for their efforts, support, and achievements!!
