What Services Can the Township Share?

What are some of the government services that could be shared with neighboring municipalities?

Smaller municipalities often enter into share service agreements with other municipalities. 

Libraries often open their doors to residents of other communities. Emergency services, such a ambulance corps, first aid squads, departments of public works, fire departments, and sometimes police departments serve more than one municipality. 

In a by Fairleigh Dickinson University, 71 percent of respondents said that sharing services to save money is a good idea.
