Wayne Plans Free Rabies Clinic

Free clinic is open to township dogs and cats on three Tuesdays in May.

The following was submitted to Patch by the Wayne Township Health Department.

Wayne Mayor Chris Vergano would like to remind residents to take advantage of the Township's Free Rabies Clinics for both dogs and cats scheduled for Tuesday, May 6, 13 and 20 at the Wayne Township Municipal Garage located on Dey Road from 6 to 8 P.M.

All pets must be accompanied by an adult and leashed or contained in carrying cases. Proof of 2014 license is required. Residents having failed to license their dogs/cats for 2014 may do so during Wayne's Rabies Clinic.

If your dog is spayed or neutered, proof is needed to obtain the reduced fee of $13.20. A license fee of $l6.20 is expected if your dog has not been spayed or neutered.

License fee for cats is $8 for neutered/spayed and $15 for non-neutered/non-spayed. A $5 late fee will be charged for each animal anytime after January 3l.  Copies of all certificates showing proof of rabies, spaying or neutering will be returned.

As a green initiative, the Health Department is longer mailing dog/cat license renewals.  We are asking residents to provide their e-mail address so reminder notices can be sent electronically. If you have not already done so or if your e-mail address has changed, please e-mail mehtas@waynetownship.com or call (973) 694-1800 x3313 with this information.
