Voter Group Holding Registration Drive Sept. 25

League of Women Voters wants residents to be engaged and participate in local government.

Residents who need to register to vote may fill out the appropriate paperwork outside ShopRite on Hamburg Turnpike on Tuesday, Sept. 25 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The League of Women Voters of Wayne is running the event. Sept. 25 is National Voter Registration Day.

The League’s goal is to engage new voters and people who might have moved and need to register to vote in the general election Nov. 6.

The League is a nonpartisan political organization that encourages informed and active participation in government. There are 800 chapters in the United States.

Oct. 16 is the last day to register to vote in New Jersey.
