Student of the Week, Athlete of the Week Features Debut

Board of Education will hold special meeting tonight.

Here’s what we are working on this week at Wayne Patch.

  • We will debut two new features at Wayne Patch this week: The Student of the Week and the Athlete of the Week. Each week we'll talk to a township high school student and athlete and get their perspective on what their life is like and what their plans are for the future.
  • Two of T-Mobile Northeast, LLC’s applications to construct cell phone towers are on the board of adjustment’s agenda for tonight’s meeting. The agenda states that T-Mobile has requested the applications be moved to the April 18 meeting, but that the planning department recommends scheduling them for the board’s May 16 meeting. We will let you know what happens.
  • The board of education will hold a special meeting tonight at 7 p.m. in the Wayne Hills auditorium. The 2011-2012 budget will be discussed. We'll attend the meeting and let you know what happens.
  • Our Pet of the Week feature is back — in video form. We'll stop by the Wayne Animal Shelter each week and highlight a few animals who need adopting.
