Pay Freeze for School Administrators Favored By Candidates

Some Board of Education candidates said they would be in favor of instituting a pay freeze given the fact that residents will not vote on the tax levy for a few more years.

The candidates were asked the following question at a recent candidates' forum:

"Due to the 2 percent cap on spending and the fact that voters will not vote on a tax levy until 2015, would you support asking administrators, including the superintendent, to take a pay cut?"

Candidates also discussed the following topics at the forum: transparency with the community and how they've educated themselves in district matters. We've also featured the candidates' opening statements.
