Pay Freeze for School Administrators Favored By Candidates

Board of Education candidates asked if they are in favor of asking administrators to take pay cuts.

Some Board of Education candidates said they would be in favor of instituting a pay freeze given the fact that residents will not vote on the tax levy for a few more years.

The candidates were asked the following question at a recent candidates' forum:

"Due to the 2 percent cap on spending and the fact that voters will not vote on a tax levy until 2015, would you support asking administrators, including the superintendent, to take a pay cut?"
