Polling Sites for the Special Primary are Set

Two voting venues changed in the 4th Ward.

Polling sites for the special Senate primary election on Tuesday, Aug. 13 are set.

The only change is that residents of the fifth and seventh districts in the 4th Ward will vote at the Wayne Elks Lodge rather than the Boys & Girls Club of Wayne.

Sample ballots will be mailed Wednesday.

Cory Booker, Rep. Frank Pallone, Rep. Rush Holt, and state Assembly Speaker Sheila Oliver are running in the Democratic primary.

Former Bogota mayor Steve Longean and Alieta Eck are facing off in the Republican contest.

The seat is open due to the death of Sen. Frank Lautenberg. Gov. Chris Christie appointed state Attorney General Jeffrey Chiesa to temporarily replace Lautenberg until the election.
