How Would Wayne Residents Be Affected by a Debt Default?

To the Editor:

This is an open letter to Mayor Chris Vergano.

Because the GOP has taken the path to shut down the United States government for these last three weeks and are determined to push the nation in to default, I have sent an e-mail to the Wayne Council asking what they are planning on doing when Wayne residents who rely on government income find themselves in trouble?

Statewide news outlets are already speaking in terms of current and soon-to-be economic hardships because of the state of affairs. 

I have even posted an open letter to both you and council in this regard and to date there has been no response, not just to me, but the community at large.

Come now Chris, surely you as mayor must realize there will be an impact here that none of us want to see? 

I really think it is time for you if no one else to speak to the issue. Think about it.
