FEMA Aid Reaches Sandy-Affected Wayne

Congress approved a $51 billion aid package in January; town received more than $270,000.

The township received more than $270,000 from the state Office of Emergency Management to help pay for Super storm Sandy clean up. The Board of Education received $4,000.The money will go toward reimbursing the town and district for removing debris and improving safety measures. 
The money is part of a $51 billion package the U.S. Congress approved to help municipalities, private companies, and other public entities pay for post-Sandy recovery efforts.
