Bergen Democrats Nominate Teaneck Deputy Mayor for Party Line

Englewood Rabbi and onetime Michael Jackson adviser gets Republican nod in the 9th District.

The Bergen County Democratic Party nominated Teaneck Deputy Mayor Adam Gussen for the 5th Congressional District Thursday night, northjersey.com reported

Although a host of Democrats had emerged in the newly drawn 5th District race, the ranks for the party nod ultimately . Former  announced his plans to run, but reportedly did not file the needed paperwork in time for the party convention. Castle has secured endorsements from Former . 

Gussen has called himself a "Blue Dog Democrat" and described 5th District incumbent as being at the "fringe" of the Republican Party. In an interview with the New Jersey Herald, Gussen said he would be honored to represent the district's rural areas. 

Garrett's Republican-leaning 5th District , while a slice of the township was carved off for the new 9th District.  

In a wide margin, Bergen Democrats also selected Rep. Steve Rothman for the 9th Congressional District over his fellow Democrat Rep. Bill Pascrell, according to politickernj.com

this guy is going to destroy Republican Mike Cino in November, since Cino will defeat alleged Christmas Tree Farmer Scott Garrett, since Garrett votes againt our hero US troops a pay raise and then gives himself a $19k and votes against our fellow American in New Orleans, for relief.... even Pres Bush supported this...
