40th District Candidate Receives Endorsements

Casssandra Lazzara endorsed by New Jersey Education Association, AFL-CIO.

Democrat Cassandra Lazzara, a candidate for the New Jersey State Assembly's 40th District, received endorsements from the New Jersey Education Association (NJEA) and the AFL-CIO last week.

"Sandi has always been a great advocate for her students and for public education. She will be a great advocate in the Assembly too," said NJEA President Barbara Keshishian in a statement.

The NJEA represents nearly 195,000 teachers and retired educators in New Jersey.

Lazzara is running with Wayne resident William Brennan against Republican incumbents Scott Rumana and David Russo.

"I am part of the hard-working middle class," Lazzara said in a statement. "I will not waver and I will not relent in my commitment to bring the voice of the people to Trenton. We just can't afford to let insensitive legislators to have their way."
