Wayne Teen Killed in Township Accident, Report Says

17-year-old was the passenger in a car driving on Alps Road Friday night, report said.

A Wayne teenager was killed in a car accident in the township Friday night, NorthJersey.com reported.

According to the report, police say the 17-year-old’s car crossed into the southbound lane of Alps Road and was hit by another car.

The boy was the passenger in a car being driven by another 17-year-old, the report said. The other boy suffered only minor injuries, it said.

Police said the accident happened at about 6:30 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Doremus Lane, the report said. Cops told NorthJersey.com that the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
