Wayne Realtor Sex Scandal Featured on '20/20'

Two realtors were accused of using a Wayne home they were hired to sell as a spot for romantic trysts.

A sex scandal that started in a Wayne home has made it to prime time TV.

Friday night, ABC’s 20/20 featured a story about former Wayne homeowner Richard Weiner, who claims that his home’s security cameras caught the Coldwell Banker realtor hired to sell the home instead using it as a spot for sexual trysts with another realtor.

Weiner filed a lawsuit in December claiming Coldwell Banker realtor Robert Lindsay, a Wayne resident, had sex with his colleague, Jeannemarie Phelan, also a Wayne resident, in his home 13 times. Weiner and his wife claim they caught the “sexual escapades” on their home’s security cameras.

Friday night, 20/20 featured the story as part of its “Seller Beware” piece.

Though Lindsay and Phelan declined to participate in the special, Lindsay’s lawyer did release a statement to the ABC News show, saying, “Although my client entered their home on occasion for purposes that were unauthorized, the balance of the Weiners' claims are either false and/or exaggerated and can, and will, be exposed by clear and irrefutable evidence.”
