Wayne Police Hiring Officers
Applicants must take an entrance exam by July 7 to be considered.
The Wayne Police Department is hiring, and applications for potential candidates will be available for the next two months.
According to posts on Wayne township social media sites, entry-level and certified police officer positions are now available in the township. Applications can be completed mostly online, and include an entrance exam.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree or 60 college credits and two years experience as a police officer, be 21 years old, and live within 15 miles of the township.

Starting salary for an officer going through the Academy is $33,000, and for a graduated officer is $45,000.
The application deadline is July 7.
